"No no no." You say. "I don't want that kind of attention, and I don't want to become an experiment for the rest of my life."
"It's not like that, it's just..." The doctor said.
"I don't care, I don't want that kind of attention." You exclaim, cutting her off.
"But we at least need to figure out what's wrong with you. What if you keep growing? Your head even gained size, which should never happen." The doctor explained.
You look at the doctor for a few seconds, and walked out. The doctor follows you. "What do you want? I told you I don't wanna go through all that."
"Look, just a blood test. That's it. It will remain confidential. Without your permission, I couldn't tell anyone. Even if I did, I wouldn't make any money because I would've gained the money illegally."
You pause. "Fine, a blood test."
After a few days, You get a call from the doctor, and went to see her. The doctor explained how the worms were making you grow to make more space for their own survival.
"How big would they make me?" You asked.
"Either we kill the worms...or from the tests, it seems like they will never stop trying to make you grow." The doctor responded.
"How do we kill the worms?" You asked.
"I...I don't know. Any normal treatments they are immune to. They've gained your own immunities and resistances, so the only way to kill them would be to damage you." She replied.
"So like...chemotherapy or something?" You asked.
"No, because the worms are living in every single part of your body. Your heart, muscles, skin, even your brain. I really have no idea how to go about fixing this without other specialists..."
"Dammit. I'm gonna be an experiment. The government is gonna take me, and do horrible things with whatever they discover." You pause, and look at the cute doctor who has a worried look on her face. "Sorry...I'm just a bit paranoid...I don't think I'm gonna be helped..."
"I...hmm..." The doctor said, with a pause. "I know a very trustworthy friend of mine about an hour drive from here. We were childhood friends, and I'm sure you can trust her. She is a doctor too. At least we can have two minds working on this instead of one..."
"I don't know...I was thinking...I could go to the press first. If I become a big enough of a media sensation, I government wouldn't be able to just make me disappear..." You say, still relatively paranoid. "I could wait until I'm big enough that it's unnatural..."
"That could work." The doctor said. "It's actually really easy to make the worms speed up their process too."
