You wake up in darkness and feel buried by some massive object.
You just manage to heave it off of you with your 'right arm' to see... well you aren't entirely sure at first. You feel as if you're sinulaneously looking at both sides of your bed: a solid wall on one side, your bedroom mirror on the other.
Speaking of which what's that on your bed? You rub your eyes and the creature does the same... Wait
You can't really make any sound but it can't be emphasised more how loud your internal screaming is.
You suddenly have eight arms, or legs, or both. Then you remember what it (you) is: A Deep Sea Squid
For some reason you can breathe on land which is convenient admitadely but you still feel heavy and clumsy.
It's good you live by the sea because movement is exhausting for you. You have to heave one tentacle after another, dragging yourself across the ground, made even more unpleasant when you noticed your mouth is better described as 'a beak' and is in the middle of all of your tentacles. Your carpet doesn't taste very nice
After dragging your way into the ocean you feel reenergised and healthy. Your still rather human instincts are telling you to hold your breath but you know you can ignore them. You take in a load of water and let it out slowly. ffs you think to yourself
