Lady Tremaine made a massive discovery while in her gardens. At first she thought a weed had grown, but once she experimented, the "weed" was found to contain the properties to make the person who mixed it into their food gain weight!
Seeing a major opportunity to finally get one of her daughters to marry the prince, she called Drizella to her side.
"I have a job for you, Drizella. I want you to work in the kitchens at the palace. You will add this spice to Cinderella's food, and, once the prince is repulsed by her sudden gain, flirt with him to make yourself queen like you should have been," said Lady Tremaine, handing Drizella a bottle of the spice.
