As she didn't want to do something against Belle's wills, the dressing assistant called other servants to hold the dress while she tried to button the back up. After ten minutes of hard work, the dress was finally attached, but was very ill-fitting on Belle, as it made her look a lot fatter, with breasts bulging on top and beefy arms spilling out from the short sleeves' end.
"Thank you! Now I'm going to be the prettiest of the ball!" said Belle cheerfully, without realizing how she looked.
The dress was very very very tight, so she waddled slowly to the big stairs, which would lead her down to the ballroom. When she arrived there, all lights were on her and all eyes too. Some people whispered to others : "How she's fat!!" or "With a belly jiggling like that, she sure isn't pregnant!". Belle didn't heard them and she thought that the whispering and glances were admiration and envy. With every slow, awkward steps she took on the stairs, a button flew of her back, until every buttons were gone. Belle didn't notice that too, as the dress was still tight on her. When she reached the ballroom, her prince went to her, looking at her constricted breasts and rounded belly that stuck out as far as them.
"My love, you look... err... amazing tonight..." he said, not very convincing. It wasn't that he didn't think she was pretty or anything, he was just shoked to see his wife constricted in a dress, as she was always so slim in the past! Beside, he was pretty much busy these days, so he didn't have the time to notice the gradual change in her appearance. He figured he'll talk to her about it later.
"Awww thank you, you're so sweet! Now, let's eat!"
