"Tails, it's me!" Chris tried to tell Tails. Tails was sat on the ground between two piles of stones. He kept taking a stone off the pile to his right, holding up to his face, examining it, and then placing it on the pile to the left. He was trying to find the stone he briefly remembered Chris being.
Chris was currently on the unexamined pile of stones, but then Tails' hand wrapped around him and he was raised in-front of Tails' face. Finally!
But Tails' eyes passed over him as though he was the same as the hundreds of other stones. He hit the examined pile of stones hard, shocked that Tails had failed to recognize him as human.
Even worse, Tails grabbed the next stone and jumped up in excitement as soon as looking at it. "Yes! Don't worry Chris!" And with that, the fox ran back into the house. There was the sound of the transformation machine working.
"That's not me!" Chris yelled silently from his small mound of stone.
