Beef Bonanza

A faint smell caught Shenzi's attention, bringing her out of her contemplation. The smell brought the promise of more food, it was the smell of an almost dead animal, quite a large animal in fact.

It took Shenzi quite a while to find the source of the smell, but when she did, she cheered silently, the elephant was a huge lone bull, and the deep bloody gash on it's rear leg told her all she needed to know, it was near death from blood loss.

Shenzi moved in to make the kill, but paused when the bull, sensing the hyena's approach swung its tusks at her. Unfortunately, the bull had lost much blood from the deep wound on it legs, so instead of injuring or killing the hyena, she merely had to step between the tusks, brushing aside the trunk to reach the throat and deliver the killing bite.

Furnished with this bonanza of food, Shenzi momentarily consider what to do with her kill.
