The owl falls to the ground fatally wounded by ...

Elith stared horrified at the big and scary owl that was coming towards her. She screamed and ran into the woods, out of the unpaved path. She looked back in the middle of her escape and saw the owl chasing after her. It was so close, so close, she could almost feel the soft wind at her back created by the aggressive movement of the great wings. If that wasn't enough, there was that creepy stare burning the back of her head. The owl closed and stretched its talons, making a soft clicking noise.

Elith looked back once more but it was a big mistake as she tripped with a rock and fall down, hitting her head. She stood up shaking, and fell down once again to her knees. She could feel the numbness spreading to her body, and as her eyes started to see black, she saw something shiny passing right through the owl's chest. It was a silver arrow.

She cursed the fact that she would faint and hit the ground again before blackness took over.
