Elith looked desperately around for a way to escape. Her eyes came to the little door on the cage. She ran to it only to see a lock. “Okay, maybe I can get rid of it…” Elith muttered as she tried to call upon her magic, but nothing happened. The witch she’d been captured by was too smart to let anything to chance. “Oh come on!” Elith shouted frantically grabbing two bars of the door and rattling it.
The bat shrieked loudly, as though screaming in annoyance or to warn someone.
“Vladdy, stop that. You’ll wake our guest.” A fair female voice said sternly yet quietly as one of the doors opened. Obviously this was the witch, but she didn’t look like one. She stood taller than most women with long red hair and brilliant green eyes, and was quite beautiful. “Oh, I see she’s already awake. Hello little fairy. Sorry about Vlad, he likes to make noise a lot.” The witch said brightly at a normal volume.
Elith backed away from the cage wall, “K-keep away from me witch!” she cried.
“Aw there’s no need for that. I may be a witch but that doesn’t mean I’m evil.” The witched, named Sarah, said calmly. Though she was upset this little fairy thought she was not a good person, Sarah found the little fairy quite cute. She unlocked the cage door and grabbed Elith, not roughly but still in a firm grip to keep the little fairy from escaping, “Well little fairy, I need some help. I either need some fairy wings for my youth potion, or I need to learn some secret fairy magic so I can up-show my cousin Esmeralda. What do you say?”
