Matsumoto is a cannibal.

Matsumoto needed to talk to her captain about the new mission some people had been telling her about in the outskirts of the Soul Society. She quickly waddled off and talked with her captain.
"WHAT THE HELL?" Hitsugaya replied after seeing Matsumoto's extremely large body. "I have no pain anymore!" Matsumoto replied. They both discussed the mission and their own affairs, including Mayuri's pills that she had recieved.
"You couldn't have done it the old fashioned way?" Hisugaya asked. "That'd take too much time for me, you know that" Matsumoto replied. The two again began in discussion when a large rumble came from Matsumoto's belly. She was hungry and the only place where she could get food was almost a mile away, and Matsumoto couldn't travel fast anymore and she NEEDED to eat. She planned to eat her captain.
"Hitsugaya, your hair is screwed up, let me help you fix it" Matsumoto insisted. "No Thanks Matsumoto, I really couldn't care about my hair, you can leave now." Hitsugaya replied. Time was running out for Matsumoto, she would die of starvation at this rate unless she ate Hitsugaya... so, she did. Matsumoto leaped at Hitsugaya, caught him off guard and squished him down her throat.
"MATSUMOTO!!!!!!" Hitsugaya shouted. "Wow, for a small dude captain, you're very satisfying!" Matsumoto replied and went off.
