The nerve of that woman! she thought angrily as she stomped up the stairs. I mean, I know I'm not as big around the chest as...
As if on cue, a redheaded girl in a tight sweater came bounding down the stairs, clearly too gleeful to be up to any good. By bounding, it should be made clear that the only thing truly bound was the fabric of the sweater- what it attempted to conceal seemed to bounce about quite freely. The redhead smiled and waved as she passed, causing the girl to snort quietly in reply.
...as her! she finished her thought, then added, She's liable to knock herself out with those things!
Seemingly pleased with herself, the girl rounds the corner at the top of the stairs and begins the long walk down the hall. Old wood seemed to be the main theme, aged and blackened by years of handling by the students. The floor had a shiny coat of wax covering an otherwise bare tongue-and-groove, the walls were white, but obviously paneled, every door and doorframe was carved and heavy-looking; even the ceiling was marked with the occasional dark oak crossbeam.
And for it all, the girl could only pick out the flaws- the dust on the doorframes, the scratch-marks and thumbtack holes in the walls- to begin to enjoy herself. Perhaps it was because of all of the baggage she was lugging about?
On each door were three pictures, making obvious which room you were assigned to. Equally obvious, however, was how simple it would be to take your picture down and move it to another door, should you wish to. Easily exploitable.
