"I guess I could go try it out on mom. I wasn't to happy about being grounded last week," thinks Janet. Janet begins to imagine about what could happen if she shrank her mom. She pictures her mother shrinking down to the size of a child then sees herself teasing her. With her mother being so small, Janet could then do whatever she wants. Janet giggles about the idea, then heads out of her room. She walks toward the kitchen since that was the last place she saw her mom. Janet quietly walks through the house and finds her mother washing dishes in the kitchen. Janet peaks around the opening and sees that her mother has her back to her.
"Okay, let's see what this thing can do," thinks Janet and she makes sure the gun is set to shrink.
She aims the gun at her mother and squeezes down on the trigger. A thin beam of light shoots out of the gun and strikes Janet's mom, Sara, right in the back. Her mother jolts for a second, but then continues washing dishes. A few seconds later, Janet gasps as her mother actually begins to shrink.
"What the....is this dish getting bigger?" says Sara out loud. Sara watches the clean white plate in her hand as it appears to grow larger. Janet watches with wide eyes as her mother continues to dwindle in size. "What is going on? What is happening to me?"
Sara quickly drops the dish back into the sink as she tries to grasp what is happening to her. Sara begins to panic as she notices the kitchen counter rising up higher and higher. Soon, it is even with the top of her head, but then keeps on going up. Sara slowly turns around watching the kitchen expand all around her. She drops below four feet in height and now understands that somehow, she is shrinking. Janet waits a few more seconds then decides to walk into the kitchen.
"Hey mom, what's new? Whoa, have you lost weight?" asks Janet in a sarcastic tone. Sara spins around to see her daughter behind her and is blown away by her size. Janet is nearly two feet taller than her mother. "Janet, help me. Something is wrong with me....I think I am shrinking!" complains Sara. "Don't worry mom. That's a good thing. I was trying out this weird ray gun that can shrink things and it appears to work on people," says Janet calmly. "Wwwhat? You did this to me? Return me to normal now!" yells Sara.
Sara's shrinking spurt comes to an end and she is left at three feet tall. She is practically the size of a five year old.
"Why would you want to grow back to your normal size. You look so cute and petite down there," says Janet.
Sara is trying to accept what her daughter is telling her, but everything just seems so weird. Janet takes a couple more steps closer to her mom and that just makes her seem even bigger to the shrunken woman.
"Janet, please. I don't like this at all. Please, please, make me big again," says Sara as she looks up at her daughter. Sara tries to control her emotions as she pleads with Janet. She feels really short standing next to Janet and is experiencing a perspective of her daughter that she never imagined she would see. Janet looks to be like nine feet tall from Sara's view. Janet is beginning to feel like she is now in control of mom because of the new size difference between them. Next,
