Alex continued walking to his house wondering what he could do with the formulas, and wondering if Ms. Cruz would be able to give him more of those or if there was a way he could replicate them to have more growing and shrinking liquid to play with. With the growing liquid he would be able to become just a bit taller which would give him an advantage with the sports he practiced in, or he could play a nice practical prank on his sister Janet, making her grow and laughing at her distressed face when she noticed her outfits no longer worked. He could also try it on his mother Sara, who always asked for his help to get items out of the top counter so making her taller would be probably something she could welcome.
And with the shrinking liquid? Well, she could revert the effects of whatever he tried with the growing one like it just happened. He also wondered if he could play any pranks with this but thought it would lead to more worry than distress, after all people can have growth spurts but they don't tend to shrink unless they are quite old. He also wondered if dwindling his own body could lead to interesting experiences, wondering if he should try watching a movie in front of a giant tv screen or maybe having an olympic sized pool at home within his own bathroom sink, but the idea of being stuck at that size sounded quite dangerous. What if he wasn't able to reach the growing liquid to go back to his original height? or what if somebody found him changing size like that?
"Oof!" his train of thought was interrupted by a weird jolt on his body that immediately made him stop on his tracks "what was that?" he wondered but it didn't take him long to notice there was something going on. He felt like his eyes were in an elevator, an elevator that was quickly going downwards FAR more than he liked, below his original height for sure.
"What is going on? I just drank a bit more than the other one" Alex panicked and tried to move but he quickly found himself stumbling in shoes that were now too big, and struggling to get up because he still felt himself shrinking. He wasn't that far from home but he still had to wait until he felt his body stable again to take off his shoes and grab his clothes with one hand to dart towards home, hoping nobody saw his transformation while he felt the added weight of his backpack and clothes too big for him now.
