Chapter #6

The eagle takes you away to her nest

Her talons strike out and quickly grab you as she takes to the air. “W...w...where are you taking me?” You yell so she can hear you. The wind whips at your body as she flies though the air. “I’m taking you to my nest. As much as I’d love to eat such a rare treat you are, I have a proposition for you.” Is all she answered back. You don’t know if you like the sound of that.

You watch as she approaches the nest and drops you near the center. You land on the sticks making up the nest and roll into a sitting position. As you started to stand, the nest jostled as she landed on its edge. You tumble backwards into a hard surface. Turning you see an egg that’s twice your size. It’s warm which must mean her mate just left as she came back. Turning to face your captor you see she is thinking as she stares at you.

“If you don’t want to be my next meal, you will clean up this nest. I want my babies to hatch in a clean nest. Do a good job and I’ll keep you as a pet. Do a bad one and well i don’t think I need to tell you what will happen.” She narrows her eyes as she ends her talk. You gulp as she stares at you. Running over to a pile of bones and feathers you started to throw the stuff over the edge of the nest. It takes a while and you save the last feather to wipe off the eggs too just to be safe. There are three eggs in total so it doesn’t take long to finish. You collapse against one the eggs as you finish and look up at the eagle for assessment.

She looks at every detail closely and decided that...
