Your mom comes in to take away the ice cream fr...

Suddenly, you hear a gasp. You can’t see it, but your mother came in to see Beth eating ice cream. She spoke: “Beth! You’re not supposed to be eating ice cream!”
Beth looked away from her bowl, and you sigh in relief. Your mother will surely help you. Beth responded: “but mom, my tummy’s hungry… and I don’t wanna eat yucky veggies!” You remember that Beth was banned from eating ice cream a few nights ago, when she got caught throwing her carrots away.
Your mother continued: “No means no, Beth. You don’t get treats until next week.” Your mother then took the ice cream bowl from Beth. You can see her face now, and you feel calm. Your mother finishes with “Don’t make me increase your punishment length, young lady!” Beth mumbles “okay…” and your mother walks away.
You feel relief, now far away from hungry lips. Now all your mother has to do is notice you under the ice cream. You then hear your mother say to herself: “You know, I could go for some ice cream.” Any relief you felt floods away, as your mother scoops up some ice cream around you. You squirm, but you slid back under the ice cream while your mother fought with Beth. Your mother scoops up the final bit of ice cream with you on it, and you try to get her attention. Does she notice you?
