"Very well," you reply, "I admit I am lost out here and quite curious to experience your hospitality."
The triceratops gives you a gleeful expression.
"I promise you will not regret this. My guests are always offered special treatment and I will not hold you an exception."
"I am very eager to find out, Mr... Mrs...?"
"Oh, how rude of me not to introduce myself. I am Tricia - and it is missus. But please, no formalities are required."
"Well, my name is __________," you say, "It is a pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise," Tricia replies, "Now, my home is a small distance from here so I must ask your permission to carry you there. It is nothing personal, just that it will take far too long for your little feet to reach there."
"I suppose we can do that, but how were you exactly planning to..."
Before you can finish your question, she nudges you around and clamps her teeth on the collar of your shirt. You are lifted off the ground to a height far greater than you were comfortable with, but your requests for a more appealing way of travel were ignored by the triceratops. She begins the journey home, taking ground shaking steps and letting you swing with the motion of her walk. The occasional leaf or branch from low growing bushes brush you by, but Tricia's hold on you was far too determined to let you fall. It was obvious that this triceratops was not going to let you go until she had been allowed the chance to host an evening for you.
Time passes by and eventually the two of you reach a forest hut that to even at your normal size would have seemed big. Of course, for Tricia whose size requires far more space, the construction is nothing special. The inside is very simple, just one big room, but it is well decorated with ornaments, tapestries and anything else that make a home cosy. The air is a bit stuffy and there is a distinct smell of triceratops, however, the feeling is rather pleasant as you realize it to have been quite chilly outside. Your ride comes to an end as Tricia lowers you on top of a pile of warm furs that you assumed acted as a bed.
"Please, make yourself comfortable while I prepare our meal. Apologies for the mess, I was not expecting guests today."
"This is quite a fine home you have here," you say.
"Thank you, that means a lot," Tricia replies before beginning preparations.
She starts by lighting a fire in what was obviously a hearth. As the fire begins to crackle you lay back on the pleasant surface of the bed and suddenly feel how exhausted your body is. The temptation to fall asleep was great, but you fear it would be rude to your host if you did. Perhaps engaging in conversation would help you stay awake.
