This was supposed to be the first day of some new grand project. As the time approached for you to actually go through with this you had started to analyze your reasons for doing this. Had you done this because you wanted to be a part of changing the course of history for the better or were you just doing this to impress your friends? Either way, it felt like it was too late to back out of this now. The anthros’ school was already in sight and it was huge.
It was hard to believe that the anthros had no more than eight students per class in a school so large. Actually, they would have eight anthros and one human in some of the classes now. You would think that they would only need a structure that big because they were having a problem with overcrowded classrooms. Then again, eight anthros might just be overcrowded for an anthro school. There was just no telling since anthros and humans did not talk much with each other. That was why they were trying out this program in the first place.
This was starting out at the high school level since they did not believe those any younger would be responsible enough to make this program a success. There were a few things you are curious about. They say that the anthros can change to any size that they wish, but you have never seen an anthro actually change their own size around you. You would like to confirm that their clothes really do change size with them as they do so. It would also be interesting to see what would happen to a building if they decided to change sizes. If they really could become as large as they wished then would an entire building built by anthros also change sizes with them?
You wondered where you were going to have to park when you spotted a “Welcome Human” sign that pointed you to a parking space right next to the school. That was a relief. Many of the anthro students had already arrived and you had dreaded having to walk through a parking lot with the anthro sized cars all over the place. A problem did present itself though. There were steps leading up to the school that were way too large for you to easily climb.
Then you heard a deep voice from behind you, “Hi, you must be the new human.” You jumped in fright before turning around to be confronted with a 20 foot tall anthro lion with a pitch black mane. He raises his hands, or are they still called paws, in a sign of apology. “Sorry for scarring you, but I’ve been assigned as your partner for the school year. We have all the same classes and I’ll be transporting you to all of your classes if that’s all right with you. My name’s Zen by the way.”
“That’s fine,” you say, “It sure beats walking.” The lion smiled at you and picked you up as gently as he could before placing you on his shoulder. Despite how friendly he was you could not help but being a little frightened of the lion. You had expected one of the nerdy types to be taking care of you, not that a 20 foot tall nerd would not have been at least a little intimidating. However, this lion was built more like an athlete. You would be surprised if he was not on one or two of the schools sports teams. This fear of yours was probably one of the reasons why they had started up this program. If you felt like this about a friendly lion then there was no telling how bad a lot of people felt about the anthros when they had never met any of them. That also made you wonder what the anthros felt about humans.
This day was going to have an interesting start too. Your first class was listed as “Size Changing.” It looks like a few of your questions about anthros were about to be answered right away. You wondered what it would be like for you though. This was obviously just meant as something for you to observe so you could find out about anthros, but how would you deal with having to deal with even larger anthros. You wondered whether they were going to keep it simple or if they were going to try and impress you on your first day.
