Chapter #6

The Agenda of an Only Child

(Before my last post is deleted for inconsistency - I didn't read the chapter "Don't tell Anyone" before writing the previous chapter and apologize for the inconsistency. But there's not much that can be done about it now, so I'll just keep going.)

All you could think about was your anger and rage at your Mom for all she did to you. And your siblings just went along with it as well. It felt like an even bigger betrayal that they would do it, cause Sarah told you that you all were adopted. Your family wasn't worth being a part of - and unfortunately for your now deceased mother - the helpless little boy she adopted from the slave-trade - turned out to be a Super Powered Anomaly.

You Promised yourself that you were going to end this - No. Matter. What.

You slowly exited the room and walked down the hall to Dan's room. All that ran through your mind was all the degradation he'd put you through. He loved making you smaller than him so he could wrestle with you and always win. He'd kick you around a few times. But you couldn't stand to remember what he did to you once he reached puberty. Sick and Evil - the words flowed through your mind.

You entered his room - you spotted him typing a message to a friend on his laptop. He turned toward you and said, "Hey Shrimp-Boat." That was his usual nickname for when he shrunk you down. "Is dinner ready yet?"

"No," you said, calmly.

"Okay - hey, could you get me a soda?" he asked.

"You're not getting a Soda Today," you said - your tone becoming significantly darker. You closed the door behind you. He finally turned to you with a bit of a surprised and irritated look.

"I don't really care for your attitude, Shrimp-Boat," he said. "If you're not careful - we'll just have to do some wrestling."

Listen to him - trying to treat you as more of a brow-beaten slave rather than a brother. You decided to no longer indulge him.

"Still here, huh?" he asked when he saw you weren't moving. "Alright - down ya go!"

"Magicus Orption!" you suddenly shouted. Your brother suddenly glowed with green energy. It shot from his body and went into yours. You felt so exhilarated. Your brother on the other hand, looked like he'd had the wind knocked out of him. He fell to his knees gasping for breath. He looked at you again and held out his hand - attempting to shrink you...He was astonished that it failed. And frankly so were you.

"What?! What did you do to me?" he asked.

"I took away your 'Toys'," you said, cleverly. "I also took your knowledge of spell-use as well." You searched through a few of the spells he knew. "Oh...you little jerk - You used magic to make yourself 'longer'? That's kind of sad."

"M-Mom!" Dan shouted trying to call for help.

"Mommy isn't here anymore, Little Boy," you say. "You'll be seeing her in Hell, very soon."

Dan threw up his hands in defense, "Wait- Wait! ...Bro...c'mon. You're not really gonna kill you're own brother."

"One - Sarah told me that I was adopted; I have no relation to you," you say darkly. "Two - all of my life, the only thing that you've done is make me miserable! You shrunk me and bullied me, and stood by and laughed as Sarah and mom did it as well; I have no emotional bond with you either!"

"Dude - I...I'm sorry. i was just...doing what Mom told me to do."

"That's a crock - you did it cause it was Fun...And if I let you go now - you'll grow up and do exactly the same thing to a little helpless, defenseless orphan who only ever wanted to be part of a family. Who gives a Damn about your apologies?!" In your anger, you threw up your hand and your aura erupted from around you. You heard the sound of his rib-cage compressing. Like your mom, his skin turned gray and he fell apart, leaving a pile of ash behind.

"Two down...one to go," he said. You felt so great about what you'd just done. Your power nearly doubled after taking him down - and now you had the knowledge to perform other spells. With Sarah's power, you'd feel incredible. But you thought about sparing Sarah - she had after all taught you about how you could resist your mom's magic...But then you remembered this morning, while you were trying to get breakfast. "This Ends, today," you told yourself.

You left the room and found Sarah, descending the staircase to look for everyone. She saw you leave Dan's room.

"Hey," she said with a smirk. "Judging how you're not 5 years old - I take it you got duped into the 12 years of slavery thing."

"Oh - I wouldn't say that," you said darkly. You raised your hand. "Magicus Orption!"

Sarah glowed with a blue aura before her magic was absorbed into your body. However - there was a different reaction this time. When Sarah's magic left - she was no longer a 10 year old girl - she looked to be about five years OLDER than you - about 22. Perhaps when all magic left her - whatever spells were cast on her were cancelled out. She did mention that she went through what you did and finished her training - this must be what she really looked like.

"How did you do that?" she asked you.

"I took your magic - it seems that it also dispelled anything cast on you as well."

"...Well, it is good to not be 10 years old anymore - why'd you take my magic?"

"You've abused your power for long enough - the cycle ends here!" you say to her.

"I see...so you're gonna kill me? You're gonna take your Revenge on me - the one who told you that you could resist and become a member of this family?"

"I'm not gonna kill you for that - I'm going to kill you for everything else you've done. Like her and Dan - you used me for your own amusement."

"I HAD to! I lived exactly what you lived through and FIVE years MORE! Quite frankly if it meant not only freedom but equality, I'd have done anything. And don't try to lie that you wouldn't either!"

"I WOULDN'T!" you yelled. "Unlike you - I'd remember all the things that happened to me! I wouldn't put another person through that. So don't you lie to me, like you had no choice...Remember what you told me this morning? What was it that you told me? Oh yeah...you said it was Funny." You suddenly raised your hand - she tensed up like your mom and brother did. Her ribs were cracking. "Is it Funny, now?!"

Without another word to say - your sister disintegrated into dust...and for the first time, you felt regret. She did after all show you the light at the end of the tunnel. She wasn't as bad as Dan or Mom - even when she'd purposefully smother your face with her feet...But she was an innocent like you. Adopted into slavery and mistreated...just like you. She just...wasn't as unbreakable as you.
You shed a tear for what you'd done.

--

You'd worked a little fast - as inexplicable as it was, you'd just murdered three people. People would notice, so you had to get going. So you packed a suit-case of as many clothes as you had. You also took Dan's laptop - it could come in handy. You packed up all the food in the fridge. You didn't know where you were gonna go, but you had to get lost while the going was good. That's when you had an idea - you soon climbed the stairs to the Spell Book. (It can be in the Attic or his Mom's closet - up to you.)

"You're coming with me," you told the book - sensing its inexplicable 'sentience'. You took it from the podium and began to comb through it again. You found a spell of mind - manipulation. The spells work if the victim hears the incantation - so it seemed plausible that you could cast one over the phone...and that's what you did. You called your Mom's bank. Using the spell - you managed to transfer your mom's savings into a private account you had made, with no questions asked.

Good - you had food, clothing, and a means of drawing funds - at least until you got a job. And an inexhaustible supply of magic wouldn't hurt. While browsing the book, you also found a Pyro-Spell. So you went around the house - collecting every bit of valuables that you could carry - from loose change, to allowances, to jewelry. Soon you were all packed up - for safe-keeping, you put the spell book into a leather back-pack and strapped it to your back. You took a long trench coat, a hat, and an umbrella, just in case.

You took one last look around this den of slavery and degradation. You took up your suitcase and left - casting the Pyro-Spell on your way out. The flames started in the center of the house and spread all around. You were promptly down the street before the house completely went up in flames. Your old life of slavery was going up in flames. Your new life with unlimited opportunity lay before you.
