After thinking it over for a moment, the shadow of King Garon decided the best course of action was to see the task through himself. He wouldn't dare risk that oaf bungle such a sensitive assignment. "Hmph! This is too delicate a situation for Hans. I shall do the task myself."
With his mind made up, the dark tactician got to work informing his spies to keep a lookout. It had taken a while, but eventually news reached him of the prince's little band having fought a hellacious battle. Iago smirked maliciously before warping his way over to their location.
What he saw from a distance was the prince and the other royals, as well as their motley crew. They were tired and a little banged up, but otherwise alive and well. "A pity none of them seemed to have died. Oh well, I'm sure a luck brigands' axe will reach one of them eventually."
Iago moved in a little closer and put the scroll he'd confiscated to good use. He'd all but whispered the words written down and almost instantly the world around him began to expand to an almost unbelievable scale. He felt dizzy for a moment and had to fight not to lose his lunch.
"By the silent dragon." he gasped. Everything was humungous. The rocks he was hiding behind stood taller than castle Krakenburg. Was this sense of awe what those Hoshidans felt when he used them as test subjects for the scroll? "No! Stay focused Iago, you have a job to do."
He placed the scroll in his inner pouch and began to move.
