As we approached his group, I started to tense up, my heart raced at the thought of the many questions I had, but one of them stuck out the most, will I end up in a cage to never be free again. Then the fear of the thought took over, and took action. I began to trek up Fox's face, and stumbled my way behind his left ear, and grasped the fur around it. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Fox asks, but I Ignored him. I... I began to remember my bad history with the anthro kind. Then I heard Fox greet his friends. "HEY GUYS." "HEY FOX, DID YOU FIND ANYTHING YOU LIKED ?" A female anthro asked. "YEAH", then I heard fox speak calmly, "COME ON OUT AKIRA, THEY WON'T HURT YOU." I was hesitant and afraid at first, but after a few seconds, I walked out and revealed myself to his friends. It was silent, they looked at me as if I was something they've never seen before. I looked at each of them and saw four of them. I tried to register and identify them to the animals I knew, from the books I read so far. The female that spoke to fox, is also a fox, but her eyes are a more concentrated, bright green. The second is a bear, he is the largest out of the whole group, his fur is dark brown, and his eyes are pitch black. The third one is a lion, his mane was black, and his glaring, yellow eyes are starting to give me chills down my spine. The last one is a raven. Her wings are large, with black feathers, and warm, red eyes. After I and his group finished registering each other, Fox began to introduce me to his friends. "GUYS, THIS IS AKIRA, I FOUND HIM ALL BY HIMSELF." Then the lion coldly stated, "A HUMAN, I'M SURPRISED HE ISN'T IN THE ZOO." Then the word "Zoo" triggered me to breakdown. I was never a fan of the word, to me it meant "Put me in a cage and look at me." Then Fox somehow felt my discomfort. "I NEVER LIKED THE ZOO!" He calmly replied. His words calmed me down, and I regained my composure. "AKIRA, THESE ARE MY FRIENDS, THAT'S VIXEN, JON, LEO, AND RAVEN." I softly spoke "Hi." I was still a little nervous, but they seemed okay.
