Where is he?
You've agreed to meet up with a friend here in the park, right by the fountain. Well, you're here, and Gabumon is nowhere to be seen.
You sigh and sit on the fountain's stony outcropping, kinda odd how no one's around at noon, this place is usually packed by this time... Oh well, guess you'll just wait for ol' Wolfskin to show up.
The sound of splashing water is all you hear right now, it's relaxing... but also a little spooky. It's never this quiet, where is everyone? Did they all turn into clouds? Maybe that one up there's Gabumon, the one that's shaped like him. That'd be one shy cloud if it is him.
...Alright, he said he'd be here by now, and he's never late without a good reason, something's definitely up, and you're not resting until you find out what!
You leap to your feet and immediately notice that the park's trail is now at least ten stories below you. That's not good. Everything else has similarly expanded around you, the flowing fountain now looks more like a huge waterfall, the little bits of concrete at your feet are you-sized, you've shrunk!
Before you have time to freak out, a blue-striped figure rushes towards you. Is that... Gabumon?
It is!
The reptile Digimon now looks more like a fur-wearing dinosaur as he dashes closer, the pointed horn on his forehead points right toward you as he slides to a stop, head pointed down as he heavily pants.
"Yo, hey! Sorry I'm late, I-"
The giant Digimon looks up and doesn't see you anywhere.
"...He's not here? But we were gonna hang out now..."
He reaches back and holds his pelt closer as he worriedly searches for a normal-sized you. "He wouldn't... ditch me, would he?" He hangs his head as you shout right beneath his nose.
"No... No, he's just running late, just like me. That's it, he'll be here. I'll just... wait here for him."
His blue belly is level with you as he stands there, watching the fountain. He's close enough that you could jump onto him, but should you?
As you make a decision, Gabumon...
