There was a reason she became a private investigator instead of a crime scene tech. She hated all the blood and guts and gore that accompanied violent crime. Give her an adulterous spouse or a case of embezzlement any day.
As she moved further inside the store, the stench became stronger. The windows had been blacked out and she had to squint into the faint light allowed into the space by the open door. In the far corner of the store, she saw a murky black space. Moving closer toward it, she realized it was the beginning of a tunnel!
