Hamtaro brings a LOT of seeds for a picnic!

There was a bit of thumping outside the door before it burst open, startling Penelope out from a quite rest. She eagerly rushed to the doorway to see who it was, hoping for someone to play with besides just Snoozer. All that was visible in the open doorway was a pair of hamster feet and paws carrying a enormous load of sunflower seeds. The face of the carrier was completely concealed by the mass of seeds. Penelope, being very familiar with all her ham-ham friends, knew exactly who the limbs belonged to and got very excited sprinting over to the hamster.

"Hey guys, look what I got!" From behind the seeds came Hamtaro's peppy voice as he dropped the mass of onto the floor next to him and turned to see Penelope just inches away from his face! "Wah!" Hamtaro blurted. "Geeze Penelope, don't scare me like that, OK?" He smiled at her to reassure her, causing her to blush at her crush a little from behind her yellow cloth. She let out a faint 'ookwee' without realizing, but it was too quiet for Hamtaro to hear.

Hamtaro looked past Penelope to see the clubhouse void of any hamsters other than themselves and Snoozer. "Hey, where is everyone?" He turned his head, looking around the clubhouse with vigilance. He turned back to Penelope. "Penelope, do you know where the others are? I saved up all these sunflower seeds so we could all have a picnic. I found a really great spot not far from here! Guess I chose the wrong day to bring them over, huh?"

"Ookwee," Penelope agreed firmly, though secretly, she was glad everyone was gone. because she would get to spend time with her new crush, Hamtaro. She wouldn't mind the company of her best friend Pashmina, who was getting some 'beauty sleep' in the other room, though.

Hamtaro turned and looked at the huge pile of sunflower seeds. He then walked over and opened a small door, pulling out a fair sized wagon. "Well, no use bringing all these seeds for nothing, right?" He started piling the seeds onto the wagon. Penelope quickly saw an opportunity to be close to Hamtaro. She stood next to Hamtaro picking up seeds and putting them into the wagon until all the seeds were on. The pile towered much higher than the wagon and looked very heavy and be fairly hard to pull.

Hamtaro pulled out a small scrap of paper and what looked like the broken tip of a pencil. He started drawing. "I'll just leave a map so they know where the picnic is. They can join us as soon as they get back!"

Caught up in the excitement of this picnic with Hamtaro, Penelope squealed "ookwee!"
