This choice: fattening seeds appear in the field • Go Back...Chapter #5Free, Big, Heavy Sunflower Seeds by: Unknown The two hamsters were enjoying their cuddle in the shade of the oak. Bijou was leaning against Hamtaro with her head resting on him. Hamtaro just sat with his arm around Bijou, eyes closed and enjoying the moment. Hamtaro could feel Bijou's soft breathing as she continued leaning against Hamtaro lovingly. Hamtaro sighed relaxingly. "Ah, isn't this so great...You look so cute when you're this relaxed, Bijou." Bijou blushed. She looked up at hamtaro's smiling face.
"Oh this is wonderful! It's so nice outside and I'm with my favorite hamster in the world! What could be better?" Just as Bijou finished her sentence, a faint whistling noise could be heard above them. Hamtaro looked up after hearing it. A seed was falling. Not wanting to have to move Bijou, Hamtaro stayed in the path of the falling seed and it donked hamtaro on the head, dropping to the ground beside them.
"Ow.." Hamtaro said rubbing his head with his paw. Bijou sat up looking worried.
"Are you alright Hamatro?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Hamtaro stopped rubbing his head and picked up the seed. It was quite heavy for a sunflower seed. A bit big too. Maybe it wasn't a sunflower seed. But it looked exactly like one! Hamtaro knew it must be some kind of sunflower seed... Right?
"Wow," Bijou started, looking at the seed in Hamtaro's paw. "Now there are free sunflower seeds falling just for us? This day really couldn't get any better!" Hamtaro moved his paw and the seed in front of Bijou. "For me?" she asked eagerly. Hamtaro nodded.
"Yup, you can have it."
"Oh I couldn't"
"Don't worry, I'm not hungry anyways. I had a big breakfast, so go ahead!"
"Thank you Hamtaro, it looks very good!" Bijou took the seed with both paws. "Ooh, it is quite heavy, no?"
"Yeah, that's what I was thinking." Bijou quickly nibbled through half the seed. "How is it?" Hamtaro asked her after she stopped. Her eyes sparkled.
"Oh, absolutely delicious! It is so rich! You must try some, Hamtaro!"
"No thanks, Bijou." Hamtaro looked almost straight up. "I wonder if the seed fell from this tree." He scanned the branches of the tree. "Ah. There!" Hamtaro pointed up in the tree where a bunch of the seeds were wedged between some branches. Bijou, after just finishing eating the rest of the seed, looked up to where Hamtaro pointed.
"There are so many! I wonder if they are all like the first one."
"Don't worry, I'll get 'em down here!" Hamtaro said after hearing how much Bijou loved the seed. Hamtaro scurried over to the tree and started to climb. It was somewhat difficult, but after some time Hamtaro reached the branches with the sunflower seeds. "Look out below!" he yelled before jumping up and down as far out on the branch as he could get without it breaking. One by one, the seeds fell from the tree. Some particularly large and heavy seeds landed on the ground with a thud. After all the seeds had fallen, Bijou proceeded to picking up a seed and eating it with excitement, while Hamtaro started heading down the tree.
When Hamtaro eventually reached the bottom, Bijou had already eaten several seeds and was picking up another to eat. Hamtaro looked at her eating another seed. The seeds Bijou had eaten had already made her...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
