You’re about to ask the cat
more questions when
your stomach growls.
It has been awhile since you
had eaten.
The cat stops dancing and
dismounts its head before
reattaching it.
He pulls out a sack of candy
in one hand and a bowl of
odd looking mushrooms in the
other.
“You seem hungry?
Perhaps a snack”
You hesitate but take them.
You inspect them and then
pop a candy in your mouth.
Suddenly you feel strange.
You then realize you’re starting
to shrink.
Wait no you weren’t you were
getting younger and younger.
Your clothes slip off and
moments later you’re now
a toddler a mere 2 1/2 year old boy.
“Hay you made me wittle”
The cat makes a step towards
you and fearful you drop
the candy and runaway taking
the bowl of mushrooms
with you into the woods.
Free of the cat you’re now
in the middle of the
forest when your tummy growls
again.
You’re not de-aging but you’re
gradually feeling your adult
mind slip away or fracture in two.
You then remember the cult
classic Alice In Wonderland
so then maybe these mushrooms
will…..
