Konoka walked up to Negi right from behind him, moments before he started his spell.
"Good morning, Negi-kun!" she smiled, waving her left hand to her teacher. "What're you doing?"
"Oh, Konoka-san. Good morning to you, too", Negi replied. "I'm about to use a new magic technique I found out. It's a spell that's said to make any object grow to many times its normal size."
"That sounds neat", said Konoka. "What were you planning to test it on?"
"I was going to try it on this pebble in the middle of this magic circle I had just made", Negi replied back to his student.
"I have a better idea, Negi-kun", Konoka grinned. "What not try it out on me?"
Negi gasped in shock at the idea. "I don't think that's a good idea, Konoka-san! What happens if I can't fix it?"
"Negi-kun", started Konoka, walking up closer to her teacher until the two almost met eye to eye, then proceeding to hug the boy. "I've been on several magic adventures with you, Asuna, and the rest of our class before, and we've always found a way around things. How will this be any different?"
"Well...if that's how you feel, Konoka-san, I'll do it. Move the pebble out of the way and step into the magic circle."
"Got it", smiled Konoka, taking the pebble in the dirt and flicking it away. "Alright, Negi-kun, I'm ready!" Upon Konoka's confirmation, Negi proceeded to take his staff and held it with both his hands vertically. He then began to chant the incantation.
"Okay then. Incresco Tantus!"
A flashing light came from the magic circle, and with it, Negi's stick. Konoka soon felt the glow from the circle, and slowly but assuringly gained in height. First her hair, then the rest of her body, grew in height, up to a point of around 20 feet tall. Afterwards, the magic circle disappeared, as did the light from Negi's staff.
"Negi-kuuunnn", chirped Konoka, bending her head down to Negi's eye level. "You're soooo cute!" With that, Konoka grabbed Negi in her hands like a toy on the ground of a little child's room. "This is so cool", she continued. "M-maybe to you, but I'm scared of heights", panicked Negi. "Hey, I know", Konoka then said, winking one of her eyes. "Let's show Asuna or Setchan this. Won't they be surprised?"
"Definitely", sighed Negi.
