As soon as Negi was about to chant the spell, Nodoka Miyazaki showed in front of him. Nodoka was a shy girl, with long purple hair that often covered up her own eyes, and she often spoke in a voice as soft-spoken and shy as she was. However, around Negi she has much more assurance than she typically had, and has had a crush on him since the first day he began teaching, saving her from a fall with his own magic abilities.
"Good morning, Negi-sensei", Nodoka smiled to her teacher, who smiled in reply.
"Good morning to you too, Nodoka-san", Negi smiled back. "What are you up to on this fine day? I notice I don't see Yue-san and Haruna-san with you. Are they busy?"
Nodoka shook her head up and down in reply. "Haruna is busy drawing and Yue is reading some manga she purchased recently." With that, she looked at the circle of dirt on the ground. Upon notice, she walked up closer to her teacher. "What are you doing, Negi-sensei?"
Negi panicked at the thought of telling Nodoka what he was doing. "Well, um, I'm...you see...well...." he tried to say, but was unable to. Instead, Negi told her the truth: pure and simple.
"It's a spell that allows both inanimate and living things to expand in size", Negi eventually told Nodoka. "I was going to test it on this pebble in the middle of the dirt."
"Really? Can I watch you, sensei?" asked Nodoka, with a gleam in her eye. "I've always wanted to see something like this."
"Sure, Nodoka-san. Just stand back from me as I perform the incantation."
As typical of his incantations, Negi lifting up his magic stick in his hands and started recited the spell. He lifted the stick now, holding it vertically, and began the incantation: "Incresco Tantus".
A flash of life illuminates from the magic circle, but instead of aiming at the pebble in the center of the rock, it somehow misses and hits Nodoka instead. After being hit by the light blue beam of light, the light disappears completely, and the scenery looks exactly like it did before.
"Negi-sensei! What will happen to me?!" asked a worried Nodoka, clutching onto Negi with her arms, his face in her chest.
"I dun knoo", muffled Negi, still being hugged by Nodoka. "Boot I can proobably fix it." With that, Nodoka let go of Negi.
"Still, though, I wonder when the growth will take into eff..."
Before Nodoka could finish her sentence, she had already felt a tingling sensation in her body.
"Wh-wh-what's happening to me?!" questioned Nodoka, noticinig the increasing size of her hands, then looking down to seeing her expanding feet.
How long before Nodoka stops growing?
