She walks to Katie's

Lauren begins to walk to Katie’s house. She lives about a mile and half away so it’s not too far of a walk. Halfway in she sees someone else that goes to her school, Jake, walking their dog. She begins to bark at the dog without thinking about it.
“Lauren?” Jake says confused.
Lauren blushes embarrassed and covers her face as she now runs to Katie’s house. She didn’t know what happened. Why did she bark? Why did it seem natural? Why isn’t she being a good girl?
She arrives at Katie’s house looking normal. She knocks on the door and Katie opens it.
“LAUREN! How are you doing? What do you want to do?”
