"Malfoy what the..." Ginny hissed,
"Shut up Weasley," He murmered, his face creasing into one of deep concentration and focus, "Just shut your mouth for once,"
Ginny stood silent, fuming for a whole second,
"Malfoy, let, me, out," Her voice had become quiet but dangerous and she felt Malfoy bristle,
"Remember that afternoon down by the lake?" Malfoy blurted out, his eyes wild and misty, "When Potter and your...brother caught me alone?"
"Malfoy..." Ginny knew where this was heading and now it was her turn to bristle,
"They were hexing me and...you stopped them, even though..." He shook his head, and looked up, "I'll never forget it,"
They stood silent for a few seconds, each staring at the other, their own thoughts screaming out mutely.
It was Malfoy who made the first move but Ginny reasoned later that she would have done it a moment later. He gathered her in his arms with a firm grip and pulled her lips onto his. They stood, embraced by arms and lips, for what seemed like hours until they finally parted, both too shocked to speak,
"Well..." Ginny finally spluttered, "What happens now Malfoy?"
