Cream the Rabbit had grown from a sweet, innocent child to a lovely, kind teenage girl, seeming much the same to those who knew her; she was still just as caring and cheerful, just with a bit more maturity and restraint. However, few were aware of her deeper issues. For starters, Cream was very insecure about her body; while she had grown up and gone through puberty, her body still seemed underdeveloped, being very petite and slender, not as tall or endowed as her mother. The most she had going for her was a bit of a wide behind, but even that wasn't much. Cream hated that some still saw her as a child due to the way she looked and how sweet she still was, how she hadn't gone through any teenage phases. Still, the latter issue was something she was too nervous to explore anyway. Vanilla kept reassuring her that she was due for a growth spurt in good time, but Cream didn't believe her, sure that puberty had finished changing her already and that this was all she would get.
Her other main issue: her hunger. For all her life, since she could first think, she'd had a strange hunger that could never go away. Her mother would feed her well, and she would eat until she should have been full, but there was always a nagging sensation that it wasn't enough. She'd always be hungry again within the hour, and even when she did feel full, she didn't feel... satisfied. Like something important was missing. She had been dealing with this for so long, but it still bothered her. She just wanted to stop feeling so hungry all the time, figure out what it was her body was craving.
And then, one day, she saw a horror movie. In it, an alien disguised as a beautiful woman grabbed a man and swallowed him whole. Didn't bite or chew or anything. Just stretched her jaw impossibly wide and pulled his entire body into her stomach. While the scene was obviously intended to be horrifying, Cream was instead enraptured. She couldn't get it out of her head, and the way her belly grumbled at the thought of it was putting ideas into place.
The next day, when her mother was out, Cream grabbed a watermelon from the garden and decided to try swallowing it whole. To her amazement, as she pressed it into her mouth, her jaw began to stretch painlessly. The huge, hard fruit slid right in, her throat expanding to gulp it down without choking. Finally, with a satisfied pop, it fell into her stomach, the force of which dragged her to her knees. In awe, she cradled her expanded stomach, feeling the big, hard shape within. She definitely felt fuller than ever... but she still wasn't satisfied. She licked her lips, feeling something click in her mind, something that changed her.
It wasn't moving. She needed something living. And, while she knew it would be bad, her cravings were so intense that she couldn't help herself.
She stood, making plans. As she did, her stomach rapidly processed the watermelon, rind and all, down into sloshing chyme. Her belly was flat again within the hour, Cream smiling as she wondered if this meant that even her prey's bones would be broken down into her gut slurry. Something about that thought sent a thrill up her spine.
Finally, Cream was ready. She was drooling at the thought of trying to devour her first prey, her hunger completely overriding her morals.
