Go to the eating contest.

Lisa quickly made her decision. She would head down to the eating contest to find out what made this town so god damn overweight, and why no-one seemed to care... and didn't seem to have any serious health problems besides the single obvious one.

The following day, Lisa got up early, skipping breakfast, as to be there when then the contest started, as a newspaper she read the night before cited it as often lasting all day, and was started early for that reason.

One bus ride later, and Lisa found herself in the town center, where a large stand sat. It seemed to house around 20 or 30 chairs,whilst the tables in front were set out with enough food (a lot of which was cookies apparently) to feed at least 100, and Lisa had no doubt in her mind that was just the first lot. Her mouth watered slightly at the thought of all that food, but she restrained herself, knowing that she wasn't going to be entering, and that doing so, despite being appetizing when she'd skipped breakfast, wasn't a good idea.

"Hey miss" A rather large woman waddled up to Lisa, she was carrying a clipboard. She looked Lisa up and down, taking in her thin proportions "You from outta town?" Lisa nodded "Well it's awful kind of the press to pay us a visit" Lisa was about to ask how she knew that, but then remember she was wearing an ID card, so it was rather obvious.

"So" the woman asked her "How'd you feel about taking part in this here contest. You know, get some first hand experience for your reporting.
"That's a kind offer" Lisa smiled (Genuinely of course. She was hungry) "But I think i'll pass"
"Are you sure" the woman frowned "We've got one seat left, and no-one else is stepping up. I'm sure the audience would love to see a newcomer"
Lisa considered this for a moment...
