Touya Kinomoto sighed contently as he sipped his tea, once again his father had outdone himself with breakfast. The eggs were just so fluffy, the bacon was crisp, and rice had been cooked to near perfection. Honestly he wasn't sure why the man hadn't decided to become a chef.
As he pondered that train of thought, he could hear the distinct sounds of footsteps coming from upstairs... Scratch that, they were more like stomps, which could only mean one thing. The monster had awoken from her slumber.
His little sister Sakura had slept in and was without a doubt rushing to get dressed and hurry down. The elder boy's line of thought turned out to be correct as the stomping accelerated and soon reached the stairs. He took another sip and waited for the monster to finally reach her destination.
"Good morning!" She greeted brightly.
Touya turned towards her slowly as her smile began to die down. "What's with all the stomping around?" He asked.
Sakura looked annoyed like she usually did whenever he teased her. She went to the other side of the table across from him and hung her bag and hat against the chair.
"I wasn't stomping." She replied. She didn't bother trying to hide her annoyance, and the smug grin Touya was sporting was only adding fuel to the fire.
"Sounds like you were stomping from down here."
"Well I wasn't stomping, alright!" Sakura continued to deny.
This was way too easy.
"So you keep saying." Touya continued to tease. "But you sound like a monster when you walk around."
His words hit the mark as he could see Sakura's annoyance beginning to reach critical mass. The poor little monster tightened her fists and funnily enough began stomping his way. If only she could see the irony in her actions.
"I am not a monster!" She denied more firmly. It didn't matter to Touya though as he simply placed his mug on top of her head like a coffee table.
It was beyond hilarious how her arms flailed and flailed and how she would mutter all manner of things at him. She probably thought he was just a mean eleventh grader who liked to poke the bear just because he was a little taller than she was... okay a lot taller than she was.
She was partially right...
Eventually he lifted his mug and the little monster stumbled back a bit, panting and looking as if she was about to shoot fire from her nostrils.
Touya couldn't help the smug grin that returned to his face when he saw that look, he really knew how to get under her skin.
What he doesn't know is that he finally might get his just deserts.
