Chapter #5
In Hiding
by: Unknown
You realize that facing that squirrel would be suicide for someone as small as you! You keep moving, but as soon as a something (a bush, in this case) gets between the line of sight of you and the squirrel, you dive into it and stay as still as you can.
The rodent comes closer and sniffs the bush. It seems to be puzzled by the plant and your unexplained disappearance, but then it seems to notice you, because it looks straight at you!
Just as it reaches out at you, it gets tackled by a huge, brown fox. The squirrel manages to break free, runs past it, and sprints away. The fox gives chase, leaving you alone in the bush. Whoa! What a close call!
You sit in the bush, tired and breathless. You are so tired due to the encounter, and it is so late, that you consider the possibility of sleeping in the bush. However, the shack isn't too far away from the bush, and it is probably safer there than here. What do do?
