Moving southwards

You don't remember any of those strange old ruins to the north so it is more likely that your way back leads to the other direction.
However, being just 3 inches tall and moving around in a forest is everything but easy. You proceed very slowly and its hard for you to see anything in the distance.
Luckily, after one hour of walking and climbing, you see a lake, roughly 100-200 meters away from your location and you decide to go there.
Hoping that you will recognize that place or, in the best case, even find help there, you start moving.
