Chapter #5

Snow-in?

    by: MayDay Author IconMail Icon
The bird's beak opens and you scramble away in fright. The penguin lands hard on the ground, and instead of swallowing some tasty human, the penguin gets a mouthful of snow. The penguin stands and spits the snow on the ground. The menacing eyes swerve toward you, and you stiffen in fear. It had been a mistake to approach the penguin. You swallow hard, posing yourself to run from the penguins at any further sign of danger. The penguin launches itself in your direction, and you bolt away from it. But, unfortunately, you are not fast enough to avoid the penguin. The slick black body slams into you hard, knocking you to the ground and grinding you into the snow. You try to catch your breath, but it is very difficult with a penguin lying on you. Your whole body aches. You squirm under the penguin. One of the webbed feet flicks your face, and the penguin shifts its weight.
You have the slightest room to move, and you attack the snow in a desperate attempt to save yourself. Tunneling under the snow, you hope to dig your way out from under the penguin. But as you tunnel, you hear a swishing, and your blood runs cold. The snow above your head collapses, leaving you trapped.

You have the following choices:
