Suzy strolled her timid self down 8th Avenue and Crossroads, the last intersection that separated her apartment from her favorite French pastry store "Las Pâtisserie des Rêves".
"After the day those dang students gave me I need a whole basket of macarons..." She began to fidget impatiently, biting her lavender purple nails to keep her teeth from chattering, as the green of the traffic light glowed teasingly in the 7 o'clock rush.
"Come on, come on, come on!" She whined in impatience. "Turn red already!" As the light switched to yellow her heart gave a quick flutter and a hopeful smile stretched across her plump lips as she leaned forward into the traffic lane.
"Look out!!!" Suzy felt a rough grip on her left shoulder as she flew suddenly from the edge of the sidewalk to the cracked, cement floor as the blaring horn of an 18 Wheeler drowned out in the distance.
"Ow! Gosh darn it that freaking hurt! Why did you--!? Suzy opened her pale, violet eyes to the face of the man who pulled her back from the truck. He was a handsome man with dark brown eyes, gold flecks of brilliance spread unevenly throughout them. Suzy became instantly entranced by his dreamy eyes and her sentence slowly drifted into incoherent mumbling as she stared blatantly.
"Ngh! Excuse me ma'am...! But you sort of drove your knee into my...gentleman parts..." He shifted painfully as he pushed your knee from between his legs. Suzy's cheeks flared to the color of roses as she became flustered with embarrassment.
