Ayane shifted to her side as she tried to relax on the chair by the well-sized pool area of Zack Island. A part of her was frustrated with the fact that she, along with the other ladies currently occupying the resort, had once again fallen into Zack's hair-brain scheme.
'Tournament my ass...' she thought with slight annoyance. Well on technical terms there was a bit of a competition what with the various volleyball games to be a part of, of course Ayane was never that much of a social person.
If anything the ninja-girl would only partner with Kasumi, after the last real DOA tournament the two had a somewhat more "peaceful" relationship. They weren't exactly going to be exchanging Christmas cards but at the same time weren't trying to battle with each other to the death anymore.
Or the German fighter Hitomi, who befriended Kasumi when she (Kasumi) told Hitomi of her relation to Hayate, the man serving as somewhat of a mentor and perhaps love interest to Hitomi (though she kept that little detail to herself). Later Kasumi would introduce her to Ayane, the ninja girl had no real problem with the German girl despite that it seem they were more of acquaintances then actual friends. Regardless whenever she needed a fierce partner Hitomi always came looking for Ayane.
Ayane's mind wondered for a bit and she thought of what to do next. While she wasn't to trilled to be fooled into coming to the island even Ayane had to admit that Zack always made sure that there was plenty to do once one stepped foot on his vacation resort.
Sighing she lifted herself up to a standing position, stretched a bit, and was a little relived to see that she hadn't gotten too deep a tan.
'It may be cheap but that lotion does work as it should.' she thought silently before deciding it was time to get a move on.
