Chapter #4Ashley! by: Unknown Ashley lifted her heavy eyelids slowly, still faint from when she had been knocked out. Regaining consciousness, she starts to make out her surrounds: a small, nearly blindingly white room, with a small table next to a chair that she was strapped to, unable to escape from. Across from her seat was a long, ultra-reflective mirror. She didn’t need to think over it twice to discern that it was a one-way window and that she was almost definitely being watched from behind it at this very moment. She started to recollect what had happened to wind her up here, yet all she can remember is walking home from her college like usual... And a heavy hit to the back of the head. Quickly putting two and two together, she realized that she had somehow been victim to another kidnapping by a terrorist group. Again.
Before she could think harder over any of these vague memories, a young man in a lab coat strolls in with a note pad. In a surprisingly posh voice, the man started to do his work. “So, you’ve finally come to, eh? Alright, I’ll just have to take a quick few tests-” Yet before he could do anything, he was cut off by Ashley frantic kicking and screaming. “WHERE THE HELL AM I!? Who’re are you!? What’d you guys think you’re going to do to-” All the man did was take out a large syringe from his coat pocket and before she could react, he injected its contents into her arm. “Heh, we forgot to do that before you woke up. Now then, as I was saying, I’m going to quickly ask you a few questions, run a few tests and then we can get this over and done with! Firstly, what’s your name?” Whatever had been shot into the girl was wickedly strong: not only did she calm down, Ashley felt light and dazed, yet not tired. Somehow even happy, yet the drug wasn’t powerful enough for her to forget she was a hostage.
“… Eh, Ashley Graham… I think… Maybe?” It was powerful enough to intentionally make her forget aspects about herself though. “Right, good answer, good answer…” The attendant stated with a warm smile, while writing a few quick notes on his clipboard. “How old are you?” “Well… Um… Oh boy, no idea!” Despite her heightened confusion, the drugs had an intoxicating effect on Ashley, leaving her somewhat ditzy even though she had some lingering recognition that she was trapped. “Don’t worry now, that’s the answer we wanted!” The man laughed, writing a few notes. After a few minutes, the following other than her name and gender could be gathered about Ashley, from Ashley; absolutely nothing, and even her name and gender left her somewhat uncertain in this state. “So… Eh, did you kidnap me just to ask those questions?” Ashley asked innocently. “Heh heh, of course not! No, I just needed to test how little of your memory was intact. Can’t have pesky memories getting in the way of our work. No sir!” His eyes started to seem somewhat more menacing when he finished this sentence, yet Ashley hardly noticed. “Heh, guess not!” She giggled, oblivious as to what he had just strongly hinted at. Or why she was giggling in the first place. “Now… We just need to take you to the Operating Room!” He proclaimed, beginning to grin madly at her with a slight hint of a twitch. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
