Malon pauses as she hears an elderly fellow calling out to the crowd around his stand to "behold his miracle potion!". Unfortunately for the old man looking the part of a crazed hobo wasn't helping the selling of his goods. That and it seems many were reluctant to try out the yellowish mixture.
Eying those around her turn on heel and walk away Malon felt a sense of pity for the man. Malon was never really one to turn away someone in need so after a quick decision she walked over toward the old man.
"Well now what's this you have here?" she asked kindly.
"What?" the elderly man's eye almost sparkled in happiness that someone was finally giving him the time of day.
Malon pointed at his product sitting peacefully on his wooden stand.
"Oh this my dear is my miracle potion!"
A short but sweet giggle escaped the ranch-girl's lips as the man spoke of his product in the same commanding tone from before.
"What's it do?"
"What's it do? Well I'll tell what it does" Malon nodded urging him to continue, "My potion will ensure a person never has to worry about their hunger ever again."
Tapping the chin with her hand Malon seemed rather surprised at the description.
"So how does it work?"
"Just a simple drink is all you need." explained the old man afterward he raised the bottle toward Malon.
"No catch?"
"No catch, just a drink that's all."
'Well I suppose it would help when I'm tending out back home.' Malon thought to herself.
"Alright I'll take a bottle."
Malon left the old man after paying in full (25 rupees) and decided to continue her walk through the fairgrounds.
"I know I shouldn't think of it like that but I hope that old man didn't con me out of my money."
Malon giggled softly as she eyed the bottle in her hands.
