She noticed that and tried to reassure him "Oh don't be scared, you are safe now, just tell me what is going on with you." After warm words of consolation, he found enough strength to answer "I don't know... there was this light in my room - and then I woke up like this" but could only see Katie's face taking an embarrassed expression.
"I can't make out anything you said", she whispered - he thought "more like shouted", but she continued "wait, let's try it this way" and repositioned him just next to her ear. "How about now?" he screamed loudly - "oh, that's better, what were you saying earlier?" she responded, so he repeated that he had basically no idea what happened.
"A light?" she asked with disbelief and he confirmed - "It doesn't make any sense, a light does not... well, actually people should not shrink at all, regardless of light or what else. Do you remember anything else?" she continued her inquiry, but he denied.
