Ahh, Saturday morning TV... there's nothing like it. No matter how old you are, you're reliving your childhood by getting lost in the likes of Spongebob or Dexter's Lab or something.
At least that's what Sarah initially thought. It turned out her whimsical idea of Saturday morning cartoons was just a stagnant myth compared to the 'crap' they only seemed to show today. If the old classics like Tom and Jerry were the golden age, and 90s cartoons like Rocko's Modern Life were 'retro', then what the hell was this shit?
The four inch tall teen raised a cynical eyebrow at the horrifying myriad of flashing images and crude fart jokes, wondering exactly how this passed for 'entertainment'. Yet all the same, her two cousins were completely enamoured by it, as if it were the most amazing thing they'd ever seen.
"Okay seriously, what the hell is this?" She felt the need to complain, raising her hands and flailing them dramatically at the TV.
"Sshh, Sarah." Emily patted the head of the tiny girl in her lap, "watching a thing. Thing is good."
"But it's junk..." Sarah sighed, shifting awkwardly against the rough denim of Melissa's jeans, "Can we do somethin' a bit more fun after this?"
She glanced upwards at her cousin, seeing little of the redhead's face past her chest, and growing slowly more crestfallen as an answer failed to show. However, after what seemed like an age...
