Chapter #6Long time no see, Prince of the sea... by: Unknown This takes place right after the movie with Shaymin, and will go into the episode: The Psyduck Stops Here!
Manaphy was wandering the oceans of the world as he was hoping to find his beloved "mama" who raised him after he hatched. It had been so long since he had seen her and wanted to see her once more. He had run into a fellow Legendary, Lugia, who knew the boy that Manaphy considered his father, Ash, from a previous adventure a few years ago. Lugia informed him that he'd heard rumors of Ash being in the Sinnoh region, so Manaphy had decided to head for the strange region known to the humans as Sinnoh.
When Manaphy arrived he saw many sights, all while trying to stay away from other people as he was rather shy. Whenever he saw a human he didn't know, he simply hid, and then continued with his search when the human left. He eventually found another legendary, this time known as Darkrai. Darkrai told him that he had last seen Ash a few weeks before and then told Manaphy to head off for the next gym over. Manaphy thanked Darkrai, and then rushed off towards the next gym, but ended up getting lost.
Manaphy ended up wandering the woods for some time before he found another Legendary Pokémon, known as Shaymin, who helped him with his search by taking him directly to where Ash and co. were, since they had just parted ways only an hour before. Manaphy waved goodbye and Shaymin told him to say hi for him. Manaphy nodded and hopped along towards the campfire in the distance. The first thing he saw was Ash, although he had changed a small amount from the last time he had seen him, but that mattered not as Manaphy let out a happy cheer as he jumped into Ash's surprised arms.
"Dada! Dada!" Manaphy cheered.
Ash and Brock were stunned, not only had they thought they'd never see Manaphy again, but so far away from when they last met as well.
"Manaphy what...? What are you doing here?" Ash asked as he picked up Manaphy.
"Happy! Happy! Dada!" Manaphy cheered. "Mama? Where Mama?" Manaphy asked as Ash sat him down? Manaphy looked around only to see Ash, Brock and some new girl with blue hair.
"Oh, Manaphy! This is Dawn." Brock said introducing Manaphy to their traveling companion.
"Nice to meet you!" Dawn said with a smile as she reached out for a hand shake. Manaphy shook her hand and then cheered again.
"Happy! Happy! Dawn!" After a few minutes Manaphy asked again. "Where Mama?"
Ash looked at Manaphy and told him as gently as he could "May isn't traveling with us anymore." She's probably back in-"
Before Ash could continue Manaphy began to cry, and rather loudly I might add. "Wah! Mama no here!" He cried. "I want Mama!"
"Manaphy! Calm down!" Ash said, trying to comfort Manaphy by cradling him in his arms like that of when May did it long ago. Ash tried his best, but Manaphy continued to cry.
"Dada*sob* and Mama*sob* no together*big sob* anymore." Manaphy cried as Dawn tried to help, but the second she touched Manaphy, he accidently used Heart Swap on the two without realizing because of how upset he was, switching their bodies. Manaphy then jumped from Dawn (who was now in Ash's body)'s arms and ran away crying in the night, eventually getting too far away from them for them to switch back after a set period of time.
