How about a boy gets sent back in time and ends up in the body of a girl he knows, or multiple girls (if one girl, he doesn't have to also be in his own body, but if he's in multiple girls' bodies, he must be in his own as well, and if multiple girls, only one must know him, but the others must at least know of him or vice-versa)? He will have all of the girls' memories up to the time he goes back to, along with his own (he can't end up in the body of a girl who is married at the point he goes back to, unless she is widowed). Also, any being closely enough connected to him (example, Pokémon or Digimon, or someone who has shared a body with him) can go back with him as themself. Multiple guys can end up going back in this way. If there are multiple bodies with someone sent back in them, then the person or people sent back can be in bodies not yet born as soon as they come into existence.
The girl or girls can also go back into their past bodies. In this case, they are voices in the back of their heads, able to talk mentally to their bodies' new owners. The guy can temporarily give control back to the girl. While the girl isn't in control of her body, the guy can compel her to answer any question he asks, or give him any information she has.
Note: For video games, the time they go back to has to be at the beginning of a game, after the end of a game, or at a point in a game with multiple stories where one of the stories ends.
