This choice: May gets her wish on the Millennium Comet, and that causes it • Go Back...Chapter #6When you wish upon a...Comet by: Unknown This takes place shortly before episode 35 of Advanced.
It was night, and Ash, May, Max, and Brock are in the Slateport City Pok'mon Center, awaiting May's first contest. Things have gone relatively uneventful for the group in the past few days, with Brock constantly hitting on Nurse Joy, causing Max to have to pull him away several times. There are still a couple days before the contest, and May is planning to practice some more the next day, but unfortunately, she can't get to sleep this night.
Later at around one in the morning, May who has been tossing and turning in her bed, got out of bed. Something is really bugging her, but she put her finger on what it is. She decides to go outside to get some air as she quickly and quietly exits the room then goes out the front door. As May exits the Pok'mon Center she sees the moon shining in the sky, and admires the beauty of the night. She sits down on a chair and relaxes, then realizes that she feels something brushing against the side of her pouch. She reaches her right hand into the pouch and pulls out something familiar.
"Wait isn't this..." The thing in her pocket is that of something she didn't realize that she still had. "...the wish maker I got from back when we met we met Jirachi!" May remembers how she got it back when they were trying to defeat that false Groudon that Jirachi was forced to make, and how she missed her chance to make her wish the final time in the confusion. "Oh, what the heck, I'll make the wish anyway." She thinks of Ash. May blushes at the thought; she has secretly developed feelings for Ash, though she has never told him, as she was afraid of rejection, she was considering pretending to have a crush on another boy, possibly that boy, Drew, who she met not all that long ago, in order to make him jealous so that she could see how he feels about her, and hopefully become her boyfriend. May folds in the last piece of the wish maker in and holds it close to her heart, closing her eyes as she makes the wish.
“I wish Ash and I would be together forever…” May says her wish quietly. What she doesn't see since her eyes are closed is the Millennium Comet, which has been knocked out of its usual path because it collided with another comet, and is visible for just five minutes, during which she made the wish, before correcting its orbit, thus not to be seen again for 1000 years. May then goes back inside and begins to fall asleep, not noticing the comet that is now almost out of view. As she falls asleep, a light descends upon Ash and May. A blue figure that looks like Ash rises out of his body, as does a Pink one that looks like May from her body. Both float over to the other body and land in it. The wish granting powers had decided that switching their bodies would be the best way to keep them together, because neither of them were the kind who would get with their normal gender, or to get with the gender of the body they were in, so the only people they could get with would be someone else who was in the wrong gendered body, which not counting temporary cases like Manaphy, would only apply to those two.
The next morning...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
