How does she become Ash's puppet? For choices one through three, only Ash can see the strings once they are attached.
In all of these choices, Ash can speak through his puppets by mentally sending the words. He can remove the strings to make them go into autopilot, but still control them remotely with his mind, with them going along with anything he makes them do as if they were their own ideas.
In choice two, the toxin causes him to desire to get more puppets.
In choices three and four, a heavy storm comes in, and Ash and Serena are separated from the siblings, and take shelter in an abandoned mansion. While looking around, Serena knocks a cursed marionette control bar onto her, attaching strings, turning her into a living human puppet. Ash grabs her as she falls, and the control bar, which sinks into his hand. He can now create strings that he can send out to make girls into puppets. The curse aspect for him is that it, over time, causes him to have a desire to turn more girls into puppets.
For choice four, girls can't be converted if it would make someone else cease to exist, and the girls still have any of their possessions.
