Seeing the Sights

Renamon knelt down, running her paw through the grass, it felt real and looked recently cut, but without the smell that always staid with cut grass. "This place is weird it looks like someones been maintaining it, but I can't hear or smell a living soul. Can you?" Guilmon shook his head walking over to the edge of the lawn and looking over the wall that surrounded the lawn they were on. "I guess we should look around eh. Maybe we'll find that treasure you heard about."

They left the small yard and began walking down what could loosely be called a road. It wasn't paved but was instead made of the same strange and slightly ceramic material the buildings were made of. As they neared an intersection Guilmon paused and tapped his claw against a building wall. The noise it produced was slightly harmonic, almost like a bell or something. "What is this stuff." Asked Guilmon, a note of awe in his voice as he played a short tune on the wall. Renamon stiffened slightly then pressed her paw against the wall, muffling the noise, and motioned for Guilmon to be quite. She looked up the road and waited a moment. "What is it?" whispered Guilmon. "Shhh, someone's coming." She replied, clamping her hand over his mouth.

True to her word a moment later a young boy went running by, he was clad in blue armor and had a head of spiky brown hair. Barely had he left then a bunch of squat robots with a single glowing eye came bustling in then out again, pursuing the blue armored boy. After the strange procession had left Renamon released her grip on Guilmon, who gasped for air, his face slightly tinged blue. Renamon walked over to the corner and peaked round both ways. "Should we follow them? He may need help, and at the very least he might be able to tell us something about this place." She glanced back at Guilmon who was leaning against the wall trying to catch his breath. Renamon smiled apologetically. "Sorry Guilmon. Too tight?" Guilmon growled "C'mon lets go. And next time let me keep you from breathing."

Guilmon walks up to the center of the crossing with Renamon and looks both ways. "So should we follow them or look around somewhere else?"
