Quiet. Soothing. Great. These are the three perfect words to describe this day as you walk around Lake Valor, of the Sinnoh region. Not a single noise can be heard here, except maybe the wind. You inhale deeply, the silence of the place bringing peace into your mind. This must be the perfect day...
... At least, until now.
Upon hearing a nearby plant rustling, you turn your head to see a Floatzel leaping out of the bushes, glaring at you. Then, without warning, it opens its mouth, shooting you with water.
You are hit in your stomach and are sent backwards as the Floatzel attacks you once more, this time with its fangs. It bites your arm. You scream in pain as it's fangs sink into your arm. Gritting your teeth, you punch the Floatzel in the muzzle with your free arm, managing to pull off, a bite mark on your arm.
The Floatzel glares angrily at you. Why is it even doing this? You think as it charges again. It tackles you. Both of you end up falling into the lake behind. Bad thing. The Floatzel starts attacking repeatedly. You try surface, but the weasel simply won't let you.
You are about to lose consciousness.
‘I... I don't wanna die...’ you think, desperately trying to fight back. And that's when something weird happens.
‘Have you got... the will to survive?’
You hear a voice in your head. What was that?
‘I'm going to drown... I don't want to die...’ you think again, the Floatzel not giving any sign of wanting to let you go. The voice is heard again.
‘Very well. I shall aid you in this battle...’ it speaks. The last thing you notice before blacking out is a bright light coming from downwards. Then, you let darkness take you as you black out...
You wake up hours later. Your first though is
‘Am I... Am I dead?’ you move from your laying position and bring a hand to your forehead.
"Feeling better?" a soft, feminine voice suddenly asks. Your eyes slowly open. You take a look around, trying to spot whoever talked.
The first thing you notice is that you're in a cave. And slowly, your gaze falls on a golden creature, with a blue, star-shaped head; A red gem on its forehead and two tails lazily floating behind the creature, gems on them as well; Golden eyes are fixed on you. And, most of all, it's huge. At least 140 ft tall. You recognize it as the legendary pokemon Azelf. And a shiny one, too.
"Hey, are you feeling better?" the same, feminine voice you heard before, this time, you notice, is coming from Azelf, speaks again, making you assume it's a female.
"Y-Yes..." you reply to her question.
"What happened?" you then ask. The pokemon gets closer to you. She picks you in her golden paw and brings you to eye level.
"You were about to drown," she speaks calmly " But I felt it. Your will to live. So I decided to help you. That Floatzel fled and I brought you here. I healed your wounds." you instinctively look at your arm, the one that Floatzel caught in its maw. The bite mark disappeared.
"Thank you..." you thank her. Azelf smiles.
"Don't worry." her free paw comes to pat your head.
"I'm sorry but... Where are we?" you ask her.
"We're in my cave, at the bottom of Lake Valor." she replies.
"You mean... under the lake?!" she nods.
"Then... Could you bring me back up, so I can go home?" you ask.
At this point, she looks at you weirdly.
"I've got something to tell you. I think we'll have to stay together... Master..." she says.
"Come again?"
"I have to stay with you. Your willpower was enough to wake me from my sleep, and I can see my master in you." she explains. The declaration takes you off guard. You stay silent.
"So? Do you accept me as your pokemon?" she asks you. You consider this. Azelf kindly saved you, why would you deny her request? So, you slowly nod. The willpower being smiles.
"Well then. Welcome... home..." she says, closing your body in a hug.
"Wait, home? Aren't we going to my house?" you ask.
"Well... I doubt your house would... contain me, would it?" Azelf replies, stifling a giggle. You can't really fight her logic, so you simply nod, willingly accepting to live with her.
"Good," she says, starting to giggle.
"Cute little master." she giggles, making you blush.
You both stay silent for a while, just staring at each other. You suddenly break the silence.
"So... what now?" Azelf cocks her head, seeming to be thinking.
"Well...
