Ah. So if you were to ever reproduce you would like to do it with another/other organism/companion(s).
But does your species have 1 gender(mono-gendered), 2 genders (di-gendered)(like humans), or are they multi-gendered?
Mono-gendered: the species reproduce with 2, same-sex organisms of their species. A great example would be the fictional species from Mass Effect, the Asari, who reproduce by "melding" mentally. Just for the readers' curiosity, the Asari look like blue-ish-skined humanoid women. (google it for further info ;])
Di-gendered: the species reproduce with 2, opposite/same-sex organisms of their species. Humans reproduce with the opposite sex.
Multi-gendered: obviously, multi-gendered species have multiple genders. Whether they must reproduce with all type of genders, some types, specific types, same types, or opposite types of genders, you will have to decide a little later.
