"Ok class so that is your assignment for the rest of the year, you will research the animal you were given"
Melissa knew she would probably never have to deal with a dolphin in her career but she was happy to get an interesting animal.
Melissa was at home eating dinner with her family.
"Wow Melissa I didn't know you like fish that much, its your third one" said her mom Cindy
"Yeah the fish is great"
Melissa looked at her hands and noticed her skin was turning gray, then she felt something growing and protruding from her back she hurried with her food and ran to her room.
Melissa's shirt was tenting on the back, making it uncomfortable so she took it off.
"Ah! what's going on?" she said confused while looking at her back in the mirror, she had grown a dorsal fin not believing it was real.
She noticed her skin was turning bluish gray so she took off her pajamas to inspect her body and gasped when she saw her skin was turning blue gray and rubbery and she fainted on her bed.
She woke up and checked her back
"ohh, it was just a dream I don't have a dorsal fin"
Melissa tried to get out of bed but her legs didn't move right. She took off the sheets and gasped.
"I-I have a dolphin tail"
Melissa was a dolphin from the waist down. She panicked slightly and her tail flopped in tune with her emotions.
"Melissa you'll be late for school" said Cindy knocking at the door and left to work
She looked at the mirror
"might as well go full mermaid" said Melissa and she removed her bra, admiring her body and posed on the mirror.
After posing Melissa grunted and fell on the floor her tail flopped and she groaned.
"uhhh, what is happening ah"
Her tail split and her legs returned to normal, Melissa was naked and panting on the floor.
