Chapter #5

Regret?

    by: Unknown
6 months have passed since Rozare, as she had taken to calling herself, left her father. After spending 10 years with that S.O.B., she learned to avoid towns, how to hunt for herself, and that all humans hate monsters. It was because of this she lived isolated, alone. Away from any other intelligent life, she talked to herself to avoid going completly mad. Rozare blamed all her problems on him. However as Winter set in, she thought she'd be lucky to through it. She always relied on Bowhan to provide for her during the cold and snow, where which a dragon her age had slim chances of survival.

Being half-human, Rozare had planned ahead and saved up extra meat from her kills, since she learned (again from Bowhan) meat could be kept fresher longer in cold temperatures. A lot of the things she learned from watching Bowhan have helped her survive up until now.

Dragons live for 1000 years on average, and by age 100, they are their full size and their growth slows to a snail's pace. Because of the increase in human population, the Dragon Population has dwindled and the winters have been tougher, trying to find places human-free. Currently Dragon was somewhere inside a huge mountain range known as Encraese's Mountain Maze, which for the most part was uninhabited due to fear of something living within the range, but Rozare didn't know this.

As Rozare settled down to sleep for the night, a voice spoke from the mouth of the cave. "Hey-ho, Dragooone!"
