The dragon looked at his new master as he steered the wagon. He was a weird man, for his face was much tanner than anyone in the land. He looked at the dragon child, his dark eyes meeting the child's blue. "I hold some respect for any living creature. So long as you never give me reason to, I won't say that word," the man said to the dragon in a deep calming voice. The dragon, despite his bad history with humans, felt like he could trust this man's words. "My name is Isha," he went on to say, looking back at the road, The dragon did as well. They were heading to port. "You will be the pet of my master's only daughter, Princess Aditi," Isha went on to say, "If you harm her in anyway, you won't live for very long." The child lowered his head and started to cry.
The two reached port and the child was tossed into the cargo hold of Isha's master's ship, still in his cage and collar. A week passed for the dragon in the hold and that terrible speech impeding potion was wearing off. He looked around and saw the hold door open up.
"That's probably my meal," the dragon thought, "Is it dinner time all ready?" But the one coming down was no servant, but Princess Aditi herself. She looked at the dragon and the dragon looked back.
